JOB TITLE: Truck Driver/ Warehouse Associate
SALARY: $18 - $21/hour; Dependent upon experience & needed training.
HOURS: 35 – 40 hours per week within Monday-Friday, 8am – 5:30pm; Saturdays occasionally. The schedule is
subject to change.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES: Maintain and operate the truck in a safe, careful and lawful manner. Careful, safe and neat
packing/loading and unloading materials on/off TLD truck. Read maps and route yourself each day. Knowledge of
inventory on hand and location of inventory in warehouse. Work in warehouse as assigned. Able to carry out
directions with minimal supervision. Reports directly to the Donations and Warehouse Managers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Current Driver license with 0 points and current DOT card, to be cleared by Insurance company.
2. Ability to drive 24’ stake body and or 24’ – 26’ box truck. Non CDL.
3. Ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
4. Organizational skills to efficiently pack used building materials onto truck.
5. Must be energetic, organized, and self-motivated.
6. Knowledge of building materials.
7. Must be reliable, dependable and responsible.
8. Able to communicate with a variety of people.
9. Must be responsible and follow through with assigned tasks.
10. Ability to read maps and route self-daily.
11. Must pass annual & random drug tests, including pre-employment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Loading and unloading truck in safe and careful manner.
2. Secure inventory and equipment against damage, deterioration and theft.
3. See that all inventory is placed in holding area or received by TLD staff…keep proper inventory with
donation inventory form.
4. Keep truck clean and presentable.
5. Supervise Truck Assistant.
6. Map routes daily and confirm pick up times with next day pick ups donors.
7. Gather and maintain equipment needed for pick-ups.
8. Track miles daily in logbook. Truck is hardwired with a GPS tracking system.
9. Have knowledge of acceptable and non-acceptable materials policy.
10. Organize regular maintenance of truck.
11. Communicate effectively and courteously with donors & staff.
12. Participate in establishing cost effective donor pick up routes.
13. Warehouse assistance on daily projects, including inventory.
14. Assist in special projects as needed.
