Job Description

Are you curious, motivated, and forward-thinking? At FIS you’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and relevant issues in financial services and technology. Our talented people empower us, and we believe in being part of a team that is open, collaborative, entrepreneurial, passionate and above all fun.

About the role:

This role serves as the senior GTM strategist and portfolio leader for FIS' Payments solutions portfolio, spanning Issuing Solutions, Payment Networks, Global Money Movement, and Embedded Solutions. Operating as a senior individual contributor at the Sr. Director/Sr. Principal level, this leader is accountable for translating business strategy, market dynamics, customer insights, and product priorities into differentiated go-to-market strategies that accelerate growth.

The role functions as a strategic advisor to product, commercial, and executive leadership—shaping portfolio narratives, influencing investment decisions, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring market-facing execution is aligned to FIS' enterprise strategy.

Success requires a unique combination of strategic thinking, deep payments expertise, executive presence, storytelling capability, and the ability to leverage AI-enabled workflows to accelerate insight generation and GTM execution.

What you will be doing:

  • Portfolio Strategy & Growth Leadership: Serve as GTM strategy lead for the Payments portfolio, partnering directly with Product, Commercial Strategy, and business leaders. Translate business objectives into actionable GTM priorities. Identify growth opportunities, whitespace markets, customer needs, and competitive threats. Influence product roadmap, commercialization strategy, and market investment decisions. Drive alignment between portfolio strategy, annual planning, launch priorities, and revenue objectives.
  • Executive Engagement & Strategic Advisory: Serve as primary GTM advisor to Payments leadership. Represent GTM Strategy in executive reviews, portfolio planning sessions, customer engagements, analyst discussions, and strategic initiatives. Facilitate alignment across Product, Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, and executive leadership. Challenge assumptions, identify strategic risks, and recommend actions to improve commercial outcomes.
  • Strategic Go-to-Market Planning: Develop and own the go-to-market plan for FIS Payment Solutions, aligning product launch priorities to revenue goals and sales targets. This includes mapping each major product/feature launch to sales and revenue targets, outlining the priorities and tiering launch activities.
  • Product Positioning & Messaging: Own the portfolio narrative across Payment Networks, Global Money Movement and Embedded Solutions; craft segment‑level value propositions tied to tangible business outcomes (time‑to‑money, payment acceptance, routing optimization, cross‑border efficiency, embedded monetization).
  • Launch Plan Orchestration: Oversee product launch execution for Payment Solutions releases. The PMM Lead acts as general manager of the launch process, coordinating product, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure each launch is delivered with speed and excellence. Responsibilities include establishing launch timelines and workstreams, ensuring readiness of deliverables (sales enablement kits, FAQs, battlecards, press releases, etc.), leading cross-functional go/no-go meetings, and tracking launch KPIs (content completion, training attendance, pipeline generated, etc.). Execution excellence is critical – this leader will implement a repeatable framework so that launches are on-time, well-orchestrated, and achieve target pipeline impact.
  • GTM Innovation & AI-Enabled Commercialization: Champion modern GTM approaches, AI-enabled workflows, and scalable content strategies. Leverage AI tools and insights to accelerate market analysis, narrative development, competitive intelligence, and sales enablement. Partner with GTM Readiness, Sales Enablement, and Marketing teams to improve speed, quality, and consistency of market-facing execution. Continuously evolve operating models and processes to increase organizational effectiveness.
  • Sales Enablement & Field Support: The PMM Lead ensures the sales force is equipped and excited to sell Payment Solutions: delivering robust sales toolkits (pitch decks, one-pagers, demos), working closely with the GTM team to ensure  training sessions and playbook roll-outs happen on time, and embedding Payment Solutions messaging into broader FIS sales plays. Success is measured by sales uptake (e.g. usage of sales kits, rep confidence) and ultimately by influence on pipeline generation and closed-won deals.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy: Refine buyer personas and pain points in this segment, and use this knowledge to advise product roadmaps and marketing tactics. Serve as the voice of the market for Payment Solutions. Collaborate with the PMM competitive intel team to monitor industry trends (real-time payments, embedded finance, etc.), conduct competitive analysis, and gather customer insights to inform strategy.

What you bring:

  • 10–15+ years in Product Marketing or adjacent commercialization roles; significant enterprise B2B experience.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing executive-level decisions without formal authority.
  • Proven success operating as a senior individual contributor responsible for enterprise-scale initiatives.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Exceptional storytelling and executive communication; comfortable leading cross‑functional forums and influencing leaders.
  • Demonstrated success launching multi‑product/portfolio offerings with measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Mastery of positioning, segmentation, pricing/packaging, and sales enablement for complex technical products.
  • Advanced proficiency with GTM tooling (Seismic, Asana/Jira, Salesforce, Power BI or equivalent analytics).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect market opportunities to revenue outcomes.

What we offer you:

  • The chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in financial services & technology.
  • Time to support charities and give back in your community.
  • A fantastic range of benefits designed to help support your lifestyle and wellbeing.
  • Great workspaces with dedicated and motivated colleagues.
  • A broad range of professional education and personal development opportunities
