Summary
The Student Tutor for Biochemistry I and II provides academic support to students by reinforcing key course concepts, with an emphasis on material learned in the classroom. Biochemistry I tutoring is offered during the Fall semester and Biochemistry II tutoring is offered during the Spring semester. Eligible tutors must be in their second year of study and may work up to five hours per week.
Essential Functions
Work with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.
Qualifications/Requirements
A bachelor's degree in any field of study is required.
Must be enrolled in the School of Podiatric Medicine with at least a B in Biochemistry I & II.
Working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures, and the ability to use them in varied situations.
Ability to make logistical decisions and solve problems.
Must have good time and project management skills.
Must have basic laptop operating ability.
Ability to complete basic paperwork.
Ability to operate basic audio/visual equipment.
