Conduct deep analysis of customer shopping patterns and behaviors, identifying trends and changes in purchase frequency, retention, reactivation, product and category behavior, channel behavior, engagement, tenure, customer value, and other dimensions of customer performance. Utilize marketing and testing capabilities to develop a playbook of actions designed to improve customer segment performance and measure customer responsiveness. Lead the competitive analytics and market intelligence practice that provides leadership with a consistent understanding of Tailored Brands' competitive position, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities and risks. Connect competitive insights with internal customer and business performance to understand not only what is happening in the market, but what it means for Tailored Brands and our customers. Translate competitive intelligence into actionable recommendations that inform marketing strategy, customer strategy, investment decisions, and broader business priorities. Own and manage relationships with third-party data, research, and analytics providers, serving as the primary analytics partner for competitive and market intelligence data sources. Partner with stakeholders across Marketing and Corporate functions, delivering actionable strategic and tactical recommendations through a consultative approach. Influence strategic decision-making by connecting analytical findings to broader company priorities and clearly articulating what the business should do as a result of the analysis. Present analyses in a clear, interpretable, and applicable way that can be shared Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, providing clear direction, coaching, analytical guidance, feedback, and career development. Create a team culture that values intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, accountability, collaboration, and analytical rigor. Collaborate with Data Engineering colleagues to develop ongoing improvements to data quality, standardized definitions, governance, tools, and analytical approaches. Champion the thoughtful use of AI and emerging analytics technologies across the team to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive work, improve productivity, enhance storytelling, and identify insights that may otherwise be difficult to uncover. Experience working with third-party market, consumer, competitive, or syndicated data sources, including evaluating data quality, understanding methodological limitations, integrating external and internal datasets, and managing relationships with external data providers. Experience developing methodologies to measure market share, competitive position, market size, customer behavior, or similar metrics when direct measures are incomplete or unavailable.
