Job Description

Competitive pay rate:  $18.57- $21.87 and hour- paid weekly (based on experience)

 

Material Handler available shift:

• 7:00pm-7:00am 

 

Position Overview:

This role oversees all material stock levels on the entire production floor.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Documents receipt of raw materials and submits all corresponding paperwork to the shipping office.
• Unloads and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site; Supplies production lines with the raw
• materials as needed.
• Inspects forklift for safety prior to operation on each shift.
• Store raw materials in designated bins in raw material warehouses. Stack pallets neatly with labels visible.
• Responsible to maintaining all process equipment.
• Responsible for cleaning filters on production lines.
• Organizes bans and stacks empty gaylords and pallets. Coordinate with the shipping supervisor on the
• disposition of this product.
• Gathers all scrap plastic and loads on scrap plastic truck.
• Maintain loading lines to hoppers / vacuum pumps
• Troubleshooting machinery to correct issues as required
• Ensure housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility is safe, clean, and free of materials

 

Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to perform simple calculations and apply good mathematical reasoning
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
• Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements (Qualifications)

• Qualified candidates will have 1 to 2-years’ material handling experience in a fast-paced production
• environment; Successful completion of lift truck/forklift certification program preferred.
