Who we are looking for?

The ETF Service Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day servicing, onboarding, launch, maintenance, and operational support of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) serviced by State Street. The role works closely with ETF Service Leads, investment managers, ETF issuers, custodians, transfer agency teams, technology partners, and operational support groups to ensure accurate and timely execution of ETF servicing activities.

The successful candidate will participate in client onboarding, fund launches, operational change management, testing initiatives, issue resolution, and ongoing client support while maintaining a strong focus on risk management, accuracy, and client service.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Testing Support

  • Participate in business testing for new products, enhancements, and system changes.

  • Assist with implementation of new client requirements and process improvements.

  • Track project deliverables and communicate status updates to stakeholders.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Technology, and Relationship Management teams. 

  • Implement and support system connections with clients and partners using MFX

ETF Operations Support

  • Assist with ETF basket setup and maintenance activities.

  • Support configuration updates related to ETF servicing platforms.

  • Help coordinate fund profile changes and operational updates.

  • Participate in testing, model office exercises, and production readiness activities.

  • Escalate operational issues and assist in root cause analysis and resolution.

ETF Client Service & Support

  • Support assigned ETF clients and assist with daily operational inquiries.

  • Partner with ETF Service Leads to coordinate onboarding and fund maintenance activities.

  • Assist in documenting client requirements and operational elections.

  • Monitor client requests and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Risk, Controls & Documentation

  • Adhere to operational procedures and control requirements.

  • Support documentation and maintenance of operating procedures and job aids.

  • Participate in quality reviews and control processes.

  • Assist with audit requests, internal reviews, and regulatory inquiries when required.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with process improvement, operational controls, or project management is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • ETF Operations, Basket Operations, Fund Accounting, Middle Office, or Custody Operations experience.

  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, NSCC ETF processing, DTCC services, and ETF servicing platforms.

  • Experience supporting domestic and international ETFs, including fixed income and derivatives-based products.

Salary Range:

$58,240 - $83,200 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
