EDUCATION • Degree or equivalent work experience equally preferable. • Degree in Computer Science or Operations or Business / Management or Finance related fields. CERTIFICATIONS • [Include information as needed.] WORK EXPERIENCE • Demonstrated professional and leadership experience • Proven experience in Finance and/or Business Management • Previous work at a financial services firm preferred • Experience working with budgets, planning, and appropriations business cycles. • Communication experience, both written and verbal, at a large team scale. • Leadership experience in conducting working sessions, facilitating focus groups, driving team meetings and process improvement sessions etc. FUNCTIONAL SKILLS • Strong skills in risk assessment analysis and a solid understanding of business and financial markets • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and an ability to interact with all levels of management • Ability to analyze risk trends, identify and project signs of changing risk levels • Deep understanding of respective business area and its inherent risk • Solid understanding and planning skills in all aspects of the system's/business project life-cycle • Demonstrated track record of delivering positive results and working within time and budgetary constraints for project work to achieve high quality implementations, cost savings, additional revenue, • Ability to identify excessive cycle time and/or costs and develop alternative courses of action associated with the project's life-cycle • Ability to stay abreast on issues and current trends as they relate to the banking industry's products and services • Aptitude to prioritize and analyze a list of measurable product or service characteristics along with associated target values • Ability to develop and oversee strategic goals and techniques for a project and effectively communicate this to all project team members • Proven ability to reach an audience through effective and clear presentations, writing skills and excellent communication strategies FOUNDATIONAL SKILLS • Demonstrates leadership • Communicates effectively • Identifies multiple paths to success using analytical and critical thinking as well as decision-making skills • Operates strategically to support a culture of continuous improvement and systems thinking • Makes sound business decisions in a complex work environment • Collaborates with other business functions and divisions to advance business objectives • Is flexible, decisive, and able to establish support from leadership • Monitors industry trends and best practices and applies insights to advance the business • Exhibits and fosters optimism, resilience, flexibility, and openness to others' ideas • Inspires innovation and values learning as a lifelong professional objective • Leads by example, engaging inclusively and with intent • Always acts with integrity • Iterative problem-solving • Serving as a trusted advisor RESPONSIBILITIES • Consult on business unit strategy and provide execution leadership or support • Work with business unit heads to support: • -Human Resources, to ensure resource strategy aligns with capabilities, workforce strategy, and location strategy • -Internal customers (employees and business units), to streamline business processes and break down barriers to align to business priorities, leverage automation, gain efficiencies, and enable an entrepreneurial business • -Site optimization, to align business unit space requirements with firm/line of business strategy • Provide strategic guidance and advisory services to business unit heads to improve consistency and standardization • Work with Project Management Office to align business unit strategy with annual appropriations and midterm business plan submissions • Own and manage business unit financial plan and cost controls • Develop strategies for the business unit to increase the company's bottom line • Work with business unit and business unit finance team to monitor and control financial spend • Work with financial management to create a cohesive product and service strategy along with pricing trajectory (product catalog) • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for third-party vendor strategy • Partner with sourcing to build and maintain comprehensive and accessible books of record for all technology suppliers and supplier delivery commitments (internal / external) • Provide clear insight into vendor spend, maintenance renewals, and other outside costs for vendor operations to execute • Engage in key stakeholder communications, stakeholder governance routines, leadership meetings, and management routines • Manage the collection of business unit information for governance and management routines and ensures that deliverables are met on time
