GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Corporate Radiographer provides corporate-level leadership, coordination, and technical oversight to ensure the standardisation, quality, safety, and continuous improvement of Diagnostic Imaging Services across KPJ hospitals. The role supports governance, service optimisation, digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and strategic initiatives at group level.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide corporate leadership and professional guidance in the planning, standardisation, and delivery of Diagnostic Imaging Services across all KPJ hospitals.
  • Ensure all radiographers within the KPJ Group are appropriately registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council and comply with applicable Ministry of Health regulations, MSQH standards, and JCI requirements.
  • Develop, review, and implement standardised group-wide imaging policies, protocols, SOPs, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality of care.
  • Lead and coordinate quality assurance activities, including clinical audits, site assessments, and internal surveys, with emphasis on patient safety, radiation safety, and service quality.
  • Monitor imaging-related clinical incidents and near misses, analyse trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with hospitals and relevant committees.
  • Act as a corporate technical advisor to hospitals, providing support on operational challenges, service optimisation, and imaging-related escalations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical input for imaging equipment procurement, replacement planning, and technology upgrades in collaboration with Group Procurement and hospital management.
  • Analyse equipment utilisation data by modality, identify underutilised resources, and recommend strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and return on investment.
  • Support strategic service planning for Diagnostic Imaging Services by working closely with Heads of Service, hospital leadership, and regional management.
  • Coordinate and monitor key performance indicators for Diagnostic Imaging Services at hospital and group levels, and provide regular performance insights to management.
  • Lead and support initiatives related to RIS, PACS, EMR integration, and digital imaging transformation, including exploration of AI-assisted diagnostic technologies.
  • Plan, organise, and facilitate group-level training programmes, workshops, and competency development initiatives for radiography staff.
  • Support MSQH and JCI accreditation activities by acting as an internal surveyor and promoting multidisciplinary collaboration during audit and accreditation cycles.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, marketing, and corporate stakeholders to support service development, branding, and inter-hospital collaboration.
  • Contribute to group transformation initiatives, cost optimisation strategies, and service expansion projects related to Diagnostic Imaging Services.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Pharmacy and Allied Health Services or KPJ Healthcare Berhad Management, in line with corporate objectives.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Imaging, Medical Imaging, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Services Management, or related field is an added advantage.
  • Relevant extensive experience may be considered in lieu of specific academic qualifications.

Knowledge and Experiences:

  • More than 10 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging Services.
  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial, leadership, or coordination role within a hospital or healthcare group setting.
  • Exposure to corporate-level projects, audits, procurement, or transformation initiatives is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

Special skills required

  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging modalities including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and related technologies.
  • Sound understanding of MOH regulations, radiation safety requirements, MSQH standards, and JCI accreditation related to Diagnostic Imaging Services.
  • Knowledge of imaging equipment specifications, procurement processes, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Ability to analyse service data, utilisation trends, and performance indicators.
  • Project management and change management capabilities, including exposure to lean or process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
