Our Sofia based team will enhance GF’s scale and capabilities, while strengthening competitiveness of its specialized application solutions to further position the company for growth and value creation.
Our Design and Technology Enablement teams are working on the development of a broad portfolio of semiconductor technologies ranging from 350 nm down to 12nm including FD-SOI, RF, High-Voltage, and automotive applications.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will manage and/or execute tax and subsidy strategy. Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager:
Prepares and maintains tax records, returns, reports and other related materials
Responsible for compliance documentation, filing, and government audits with respect to federal, state, and local tax filings
Recommends alternative tax treatments to alleviate or reduce tax burden
Is responsible for tax accounting
Performs a variety of financial activities including developing and evaluates financial plans and policies
Performs both financial planning analysis and tax functions within the organization
Designs, develops and implements tax strategy for the organization
Devises legal means to minimize tax liability using thorough knowledge of tax laws and regulations
Works with government affairs advocacy and design of favorable tax and subsidy legislative policy
Responsible for compliance documentation, filing, and government audits with respect to subsidies
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Work and collaborate on other projects and/or assignments as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree ideally with a focus on finance and accounting / controlling
Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience as an intern or junior professional in accounting
Preferred Qualifications
German language (written and spoken) is a plus
Knowledge of German taxes would be considered a big plus
