About the Role
Responsible for providing financial projections, analysis and assessments, and business insights pertaining to the IFRS17 reporting.Regular reporting and analysis (60%)
- Perform IFRS reporting tasks and take appropriate actions to address any potential issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Analyze OPAT drivers, CSM movements, and assist in providing explanations of financial results to local management and Group Office.
- Support the preparation of management reports, business analysis and reporting packs.
- Leverage data, automation and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve reporting processes, analytics and operational efficiency.
System and Model Maintenance (30%)
- Maintain actuarial models and reporting systems to support financial reporting and business requirements.
- Support implementation and maintenance of new products, model enhancements and system changes, ensuring alignment with business and pricing requirements.
- Assist in system testing, model validation, reconciliations, user acceptance testing (UAT) and issue resolution.
- Document system and model changes, including preparation of change logs, testing evidence and maintenance of governance documentation.
- Support ongoing improvements to actuarial systems, processes and controls to enhance efficiency, reliability and data quality.
Strategic planning and projects (10%)
- Support the annual strategic planning exercise, including the enhancement of models for the budget exercise, and preparation of management reports / presentations
- Support company projects and initiatives from a financial reporting perspective
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Education – University graduate (Major in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline)
- Experience – 0 to 2 years of life insurance-related actuarial working experience
- Certifications/Licences – Progression in, or intention to pursue, professional actuarial examinations
- Technical Skills – Knowledge of actuarial software and programming languages such as Python, R, VBA, SQL or SAS would be an advantage
