Job Description

As a Security Officer Medical Campus Patrol Operation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an educational campus environment. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist students, staff, and visitors, and communicate professionally with campus personnel. Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly report observations and incidents through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence hall exteriors, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations; assist with directing individuals to appropriate campus resources when needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
