Description
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and hands-on Corporate Event Host to help execute private and corporate events during our busy fall season. This position serves as the on-site lead for each assigned event and works with our party team, Kitchen Manager, and Food Service Director to make sure the event space is properly set up, food and supplies are ready, and guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience from arrival through breakdown.
This is a seasonal position running from mid-September through early November, during our busiest time of year. Applicants must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season.
Responsibilities
- Lead the setup, execution, and breakdown of the designated corporate event area.
- Direct and work alongside a party team, with staffing levels varying based on event size and attendance.
- Review event details in advance and ensure the space is prepared according to the event plan.
- Serve as the primary on-site point person during assigned corporate events.
- Coordinate with the Kitchen Manager to ensure prepared food is ready and delivered for each event.
- Coordinate with the Food Service Director to ensure all necessary food-service supplies, beverages, paper products, equipment, and other materials are available.
- Set up food service, seating, tables, supplies, and other event components as needed.
- Maintain food and beverage areas throughout the event, including replenishing items and keeping the area clean and organized.
- Perform light on-site food preparation or cooking when required, which may include grilling.
- Help troubleshoot guest, food service, or setup needs as they arise during an event.
- Ensure the event area is cleaned, organized, and properly broken down following each event.
- Transport food, supplies, and equipment between locations on the farm as needed.
Requirements
- Must be personable, outgoing, approachable, and comfortable engaging with groups of guests.
- Strong customer-service skills and a genuine interest in creating a positive guest experience.
- Professional and friendly demeanor when communicating with corporate clients and event organizers.
- Comfortable introducing yourself to guests, answering questions, checking in throughout an event, and anticipating guest needs.
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, catering, food service, or customer service preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable taking ownership of an event and making decisions as needs arise.
- Able to lead and work alongside a small event team.
- Able to remain calm, positive, and solutions-oriented when plans change or unexpected issues arise.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor event environment.
- Basic food-service or grilling experience preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be dependable and available for assigned/booked weekend events.
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and regularly setting up, moving, and breaking down event supplies, tables, food, beverages, and equipment
