Homewood is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor – Lake Club to join the Food & Beverage Department.
Job Summary:
The Supervisor at Lake Club will be responsible for leading the front-of-house and bar teams, ensuring exceptional service, maintaining food and beverage quality, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. This role is perfect for someone who has strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and enjoys delivering a refined, personalized dining experience in a club setting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership - Supervise and mentor the clubhouse dining team, including servers, bartenders, bussers, and hosts, providing direction, training, and constructive feedback to ensure a high level of service.
- Floor Operations - Oversee the daily operations of the dining room and bar, including managing schedules, monitoring staff performance, and ensuring efficient, smooth-flowing service.
- Guest Experience - Ensure that all guests receive prompt, courteous, and attentive service. Address any guest concerns or issues professionally and effectively.
- Service Quality - Maintain the highest standards in food and beverage presentation. Ensure that all orders are delivered accurately, on time, and according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Inventory & Stock Management - Manage front-of-house and bar inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and conducting regular inventory checks. Ensure the restaurant is always fully stocked with necessary items.
- Compliance - Ensure adherence to all state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcohol. This includes verifying guest IDs and ensuring responsible alcohol service practices are followed.
- Staff Training - Provide ongoing training to front-of-house staff on service standards, menu knowledge, POS systems, and safety procedures. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Financial Management - Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and financial reporting. Balance cash drawers and manage POS systems effectively.
- Cleanliness & Maintenance - Ensure the dining room and bar areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained. Coordinate with cleaning and maintenance staff to address any issues promptly.
- Event Support - Assist in planning and executing special events, private functions, and other activities at Lake Club.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Food & Beverage experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership service role or similar capacity role with exposure in food and beverage standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others and maintain accountability of staff.
- Previous experience in a luxury hospitality environment preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent.

- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

The Company’s good faith estimate of the annual rate it expects to pay for this role is $73,000-$80,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
