Technical Systems Manager

This is a full-time, Columbus, OH–based position that requires onsite visits with the client 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Application Management & Administration

• Own the administration, configuration, and day-to-day operations of key internal SaaS and vendor applications (Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP Fieldglass, etc.).
• Monitor platform health, manage release updates, and ensure business continuity across core operational systems.
• Manage user access, security roles, and compliance frameworks across all internal platforms.

2. Vendor Systems Integration & Workflow Automation

• Design, build, and maintain secure integrations and APIs connecting third-party platforms with internal databases and reporting tools.
• Streamline business processes through automated workflows, reducing manual effort in data entry, onboarding, billing, and resource management.

3. Business Analysis & Stakeholder Alignment

• Partner with cross-functional leaders (HR, Finance, Legal, Operations) to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable system solutions.
• Evaluate external vendor software, conduct capability gap analyses, and manage third-party vendor relationships and service-level agreements (SLAs).

4. Continuous Improvement & Onsite Support

• Serve as the senior escalation point for tier-3 platform issues, working directly with vendor support teams and onsite stakeholders to ensure rapid resolution.
• Provide daily, direct engagement and operational alignment with client teams onsite.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), system documentation, and end-user training to drive tool adoption across the organization.

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application management, internal systems administration, or IT operations.
• Core Platform Experience: Deep hands-on experience administering and integrating enterprise SaaS/vendor solutions such as Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP Fieldglass, or similar HRIS/ERP/VMS platforms.
• Integration & Automation: Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, iPaaS frameworks, data mapping, and workflow automation.
• Vendor & SLA Management: Proven track record working with third-party software vendors, managing license usage, and tracking SLA performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong business analysis skills with the ability to bridge technical requirements with business unit leaders (HR, Finance, Procurement).
• Security & Governance: Understanding of role-based access control (RBAC), data privacy standards, and regulatory compliance within corporate software ecosystems.
