Job Summary:
This role will be dedicated to one of JLL’s largest clients, a global leader in technology and innovation. You will be working alongside the world’s leading technologists and innovators, helping them to achieve their ambitious 2030 Sustainability Commitments. 

The Energy Program Technical Lead is responsible for developing and implementing energy efficiency programs and initiatives across the organization. This includes identifying opportunities for energy savings, developing and implementing energy efficiency projects, and monitoring and reporting on energy performance. The Energy Program Technical Lead will also work with other departments to ensure that energy efficiency is considered in all aspects of the organization's operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Energy Efficiency and Decarbonization

• Serve as a subject matter expert for high performance building design, commissioning, and operations 
• Develop programs to assist with energy reduction goals 
• Conducts and/or coordinates ASHRAE LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2 on site audits.
• Develop standardized procedures for energy calculation and IPMVP M&V protocols 
• Utilize facilities engineering best practices, optimize mechanical systems, improve system performance for facilities operation across campus portfolio
• Stay up-to-date on energy efficiency best practices and technologies
• Ability to safely escort contractors and consultants to perform onsite inspections of mechanical equipment and provide details of their operations
• Knowledge of building automation systems and understanding of control logic to recommend best practices in order to improve efficiency and operation of equipment
• Support and mentor Energy Engineers in developing commissioning and calculation skills through training

Reporting and Communication

• Manages, monitors and reports on energy efficiency programs and initiatives
• Establishes a positive rapport with staff and management to ensure a high level of customer service
• Presents findings and recommendations to stakeholders 

Program Management

• Work with other departments to ensure that energy efficiency is considered in all aspects of the organization's operations
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure alignment with service agreements
• Execute programs, processes, and procedures to support commissioning, retro commissioning activities. Use analysis of results and trends to identify specific interventions for energy, electrical demand, and electrification/decarbonization.
• Ability to manage budgets 
• Manages the identification and prioritization of energy capital projects, operational changes and physical plant upgrades that result in reduced energy consumption.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency engineering
• Experience with energy audits, energy efficiency projects, and energy data analysis
• Strong understanding of energy efficiency best practices and technologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Working knowledge of building automation and control systems
• Working knowledge of central plants and supporting systems
• Experience with utility rebate and demand response programs
• Familiarity with the energy procurement process and renewable energy options
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sheets

Desired Certifications/Licenses:

• Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
• Professional Engineer (PE) desired
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) desired
• Six Sigma certification or equivalent ISO experience and training preferred

Expected compensation for this position:

145,300.00 – 191,080.00 USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
