ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Effective collaboration with Clinical Operations leaders and assigned team members as well as other cross-functional and corporate team members to meet deadlines   

  • Follows Clinical Operations standards as provided by clinical leadership including standard operating procedures, data privacy and data stewardship standards as well as maintaining confidentiality related to employees, customers, financials and patients. 

  • Proactively builds and maintains internal and external relationships that support the gathering of business intelligence to support financial & specific operational activities 

  • Provides technical guidance and training to operational employees to ensure consistency. Train and guide the department to understand the importance of data quality. Create training materials and/or deliver user training. Identifies gaps in system trainings. 

  • Work closely with Clinical Operations leadership to understand data requirements, address concerns, and prioritize initiatives 

  • Regularly analyze performance data and departmental metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization. Conduct ad-hoc data analysis as needed 

  • Provide insights on data trends to help guide strategic planning and decision-making 

  • Serves as a technical resource to the Clinical teams for data visualization and reporting tools 

  • Develop and maintain robust data quality frameworks and standards. Develop job aids/user guides/tips email to support the Clinical Operations department Assists with the development of Clinical Operations communications. Supports the creation and maintenance of departmental SharePoint sites 

  • Support data quality Initiatives including implementing tools and processes to enhance visibility into data issues across various systems. Proactively identify and address data quality issues to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for data quality and governance 

  • Foster an end-user focused Clinical Systems support culture 

  • Provide support to users of clinical systems and for clinical reporting. Research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues associated with clinical systems and reporting. Support UAT testing for clinical systems. Evaluate systems to identify areas for improvement 

  • Develop job aids/user guides/tips email to support the Clinical Operations department. Assists with the development of Clinical Operations communications. Supports the creation and maintenance of departmental SharePoint sites 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Undergraduate degree or its international equivalent preferably in the Sciences or in a related field from an accredited institution 

  • Two years of data management, clinical operations, or start-up experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device industry   

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills   

  • Good working knowledge of Clinical database applications such as EDC and CTMS  

  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word 

  • Use critical thinking skills to identify effective and efficient solutions for complex problems and determine opportunities for improvement 

  • Excellent communication skills including strong writing capabilities 

  • Excellent team player, collaborative and able to work in an effective team environment 

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities 

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, able prioritize work to meet deadlines 

  • Accountable, dependable and strong commitment 

  • Customer service focused approach to work both internally and externally
