Lead Shipping Warehouse Operator
IMPACT YOU MAKE:
The Warehouse Lead is empowered to lead our warehouse team and keep our communities safe by ensuring customers receive the materials they need to provide clean water and heating/cooling.
Specific duties include:
Processing
• Ensure all outbound orders are accurately pulled, packed, labeled, and staged according to schedule.
• Manage and execute daily shipping workflows, including Install Deliveries, Will Calls, and Transfer orders.
• Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and manifests in accordance with company procedures.
• Process re-dates by creating required system transactions (including negatives) and returning product to inventory.
• Close Truck, Will Call, and Transfer queues in the shipping manifest daily and at month-end to maintain system accuracy and compliance.

Product Handling
• Verify product accuracy, quantities, and condition prior to shipment.
• Stage outbound product in designated areas to ensure efficient loading and pickup.
• Locate and retrieve products for re-dates, transfers, or vendor/customer pickups.
• Handle materials safely and in compliance with company safety and quality standards.
Inventory Management
• Maintain accurate inventory records by updating system transactions related to shipments, re-dates, and returns.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies related to outbound shipments. Ensure all re-dated and returned products are properly located, labeled, and visible in the system.
• Support inventory accuracy through proper documentation and adherence to process controls.
Vendor & Customer Coordination
• Coordinate vendor Will Call pickups and confirm readiness of orders.
• Communicate promptly with purchasers, internal teams, and customers regarding order status, delays, or required information. Work closely with warehouse, receiving, and operations teams to resolve outbound shipping issues.
• Support Install Delivery coordination by ensuring orders are complete and ready for scheduled shipment.
Reporting & Documentation
• Organize, file, and maintain all shipping orders, tickets, and related documentation.
• Track and report shipment status, exceptions, and re-dates as required.
• Ensure shipping records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
• Assist with month-end reporting and documentation cleanup as needed.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Knowledge and skills common with 2 years’ experience in warehouse operations, including materials handling and stocking
• Highschool diploma or equivalent
WHAT YOU CAN LEARN OR DEVELOP ON THE JOB:
• Knowledge of assigned business line’s products
• Forklift Certification
• Skills and knowledge to advance your career into leadership, CDL driver, or sales opportunities.
Additional physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 75 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job during the assigned work hours.
