Fox News Audio is looking for an experienced, high-energy Multimedia Reporter to join our Washington D.C. powerhouse team. We need a journalist who lives at the intersection of audio and video—someone who can navigate the halls of Congress and deliver breaking news across all our major platforms. You will cover a wide range of political, government, and Congressional stories for Fox News Audio.
The Role:
Cover high-stakes political, government, and congressional stories.
Produce content for Fox News Headlines 24/7, Syndicated Radio, Podcasts, and FOX Talk Radio.
Seamlessly transition between audio reporting and video storytelling.
The Requirements:
Strong editorial judgment and a proven ability to break news.
Equal comfort behind the mic and in front of the lens.
You thrive in the fast-paced, 24/7 news cycle of the capital.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Create news content for daily stories and breaking news across multiple FOX News Audio platforms
Research, write, produce, edit and report taped and live on air news stories and segments, including occasional video packages
Source media for stories that resonate with the FOX News audience, aggregating with complete and proper attribution
Pursue original and exclusive stories with headlines and angles in mind, working closely with contacts and sources
Present all stories, original, breaking, and aggregated, in an accessible, consistent, and compelling style
Collaborate closely with editors
Conduct video interviews via Zoom and/or in person.
Travel and report from the field on occasion
Arrive to work prepared with story ideas, pitches, and headlines in mind
Communicate with management regarding story development while working alongside news managers, assignment editors and producers to generate news packages
Cultivate unique sound and interviews for platforms
Conduct multiple daily interviews on live radio stations nationwide
Take part in long-form special coverage of breaking news stories
Write, record weekly political podcast segments for audio and video platforms
Must be able to work independently, have outstanding time management skills and complete required assignments on deadline
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
National or major market reporting experience
Substantial experience covering government, politics and Congressional news
Breaking news experience in a radio newsroom and/or television control room
Strong digital journalism skills
Working knowledge of audio editing software and video editing software
Solid news judgement & a passion for accuracy

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67,000.00-85,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
