Role Summary

The Stations Operations Specialist I solves for ongoing operational needs at an administrative level at Horizon. As an individual contributor, this role focuses on administering and ensuring accuracy of various support programs that impact station success and employees working at the station.

Key Duties

  • Solve for administrative station needs including working on special projects to support the station, helping to come up with administrative processes and using station knowledge to provide support to others and resolve inquiries.
  • Focus on administering and ensuring accuracy of various support programs including airport badging, customs reporting, and employee parking pass program.
  • Provide input on the annual budget process. Develop forecasts, review for multiple departments and manage invoices for the station with year-end focus.
  • Under the direction of leadership, represent the station operations team at hiring events when necessary and provide input on hiring decisions.
  • Manage completion of monthly landing reports for US and Canada and submit to appropriate departments to determine landing fee costs.
  • Exercise judgment to make decisions on how to respond to Alaska Listens survey responses for the station and determine when to escalate.
  • Administer employee data changes such as new hire and termination processing, promotions, job title changes, leaves and time off, onboarding, and payroll data entry.
  • Determine an effective approach to support logistical needs such as coordinating calendars, managing meeting requests, taking meeting notes, resolving scheduling conflicts, handling interview scheduling and visitor badges.
  • Manage execution of all monthly and annual event planning coordination which includes events like station tours, department celebrations, anniversary recognition and awards.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience such as Administrative or Customer Service work in lieu of this degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, presentation) with the ability to provide insights, recommendations and create collaborative relationships to solve challenges.
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized, with the ability to execute on multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment where flexibility is key.
  • Possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and problem resolution while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Highly enthusiastic, team oriented, self-motivated with excellent prioritization, planning and follow-through skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

  • General knowledge of airline operations.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft application.
  • Project management skills.

Salary Range

$56,100 --- $78,550 / year

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

 

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.

Airport SIDA Badge Requirements
