Omni-Serv is a family run business united by its core values and vision. Our company includes businesses that operate in construction and facility maintenance, airport operations, parking, and Fleet maintenance. We are seeking to add an Operations Coordinator to join our fleet maintenance division.
The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the vehicle mechanic shop. This position serves as a liaison between technicians and management. Ensuring smooth shop operations, proper communication, and adherence to workplace policies and safety standards. The Coordinator may also assist with work coordination, customer communication, customer service, inventory tracking, and compliance oversight.
Compensation: $25.00 per hour, medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401K
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (Full-time, Non-Exempt), with occasional weekends based on operational needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for technicians regarding workflow and equipment issues.
- Coordinate job assignments in collaboration with the shop manager or lead mechanic.
- Monitor adherence to safety protocols and report any hazards or violations.
- Ensure that all work areas are clean, organized, and stocked with specialty tools and parts.
- A core responsibility of this role is to manage and maintain mechanical work orders — ensuring jobs are properly documented from start to finish, including labor, parts, and service details. Enter all daily work orders into the fleet maintenance software, match parts orders to the corresponding customer work orders, and call customers to confirm completed repair work.
- Schedule fleet maintenance services, including oil changes, brake work, tire replacements, and other minor repairs.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and tracking parts inventory and shop supplies.
- Assist in Airports operations: escort vehicles, drop off parts and any other assistance needed.
- Address employee concerns and facilitate communication with management.

Requirements
- Vocational training in automotive repair or similar field preferred.
- Prior experience in a mechanic shop or fleet maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with basic automotive repair tools and shop equipment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA compliance.
- Must have a valid US driver's license with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with fleet maintenance software or shop management systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, walking, and working in a garage/shop environment for extended periods.
- Use of hands and tools for various maintenance tasks.
