Position Objective
The Controls Intern will support the Software Test Department by contributing to the testing, validation, and continuous improvement of control systems for turbomachinery equipment. This role provides hands-on experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, HMI testing, and electrical design while supporting engineering projects and delivering high-quality results in a dynamic technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the testing and validation of PLC-based control systems for turbomachinery applications.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of HMI (Human Machine Interface) software.
- Assist in the development and review of electrical schematics and drawings.
- Document test results and report findings to the engineering team.
- Support engineers in control system commissioning, verification, and optimization activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to software quality and system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Electromechanical Engineering, with approximately one year remaining before graduation.
- Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (conversational).
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming.
- Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn industrial control systems and automation technologies.
