Responsibilities
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Project Engineer – Lighting to coordinate the development and delivery of automotive lighting systems. You will work closely with customers, design engineers, suppliers, and cross-functional project teams to ensure that project objectives are achieved. Job Responsibilities- Manage engineering activities related to the automotive lighting perimeter.
- Ensure the achievement of project QCDP objectives: Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance.
- Coordinate lighting-system development throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and support design engineers, ensuring technical alignment and timely completion of deliverables.
- Coordinate suppliers and monitor their technical progress, quality, and delivery performance.
- Act as the main interface between customers, engineering teams, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Prepare and present technical topics requiring decisions during customer or project decision meetings.
- Take ownership of Quality Assurance activities for the assigned scope.
- Facilitate, track, and manage project activities using customer-specific tools, standards, and methodologies.
- Identify technical issues and project risks, define corrective actions, and follow them through to resolution.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and engineering changes.
- Ensure that technical solutions meet customer requirements, automotive standards, and project targets.
- Provide clear and timely project-status reporting to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of automotive lighting systems and components.
- Knowledge of exterior or interior automotive lighting development.
- Experience in automotive engineering or product-development projects.
- Understanding of QCDP principles and project-quality requirements.
- Ability to coordinate design engineers, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Good organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage several technical topics simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
