Job Description

As a Security Officer University Full Time Patrol Response in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming campus environment. Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, verifying credentials as required, and reporting unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus representatives, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
