Reporting to the Area Security & Business Continuity Manager based in Mumbai, this role will be based in Northern India(Gurugram) and will be responsible for leading Security and Business Continuity activities across Northern India and Bangladesh. You will partner with business leaders to protect people, assets, reputation and operations while ensuring compliance with local regulations and Maersk Global standards.

Key Responsibilities
Security Governance & Compliance
Business partner with stakeholders to implement, monitor and maintain Security and Business Continuity policies, standards and programmes.
Drive the Predict, Prevent, Respond and Recover security strategy through proactive security risk management and loss prevention initiatives.
Conduct audits, inspections and compliance assessments.
Monitor compliance with statutory, customer and company requirements.
Area Security Leadership
Serve as the primary Security & Business Continuity SME for Northern India and Bangladesh.
Provide strategic guidance to site leadership teams.
Establish security priorities and governance reviews.
Support new site start-ups and business expansion activities.
Risk Management & Loss Prevention
Lead security risk assessments and mitigation planning.
Drive loss prevention initiatives and critical control implementation.
Incident Management & Investigations
Lead investigations into security incidents, theft, fraud and misconduct.
Conduct root cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and sustained.
Business Continuity & Crisis Management
Support business impact assessments, business continuity planning and recovery planning.
Facilitate exercises and support crisis management teams.
Customer Security & Business Support
Act as the primary interface for customer security requirements and audits.
Support the IBS business in achieving its commercial ambitions from a Security and Business Continuity lens.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers and law enforcement agencies and peer security professional networks.
Represent the function in Area and country-level forums.
Training, Awareness & Capability Building
Deliver awareness programs and coach site teams and Site Safety Champions.
Performance Management & Reporting
Develop KPIs, dashboards and executive reporting.
Support budgeting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Protective Services & Duty of Care
Deliver on the company’s Security Duty of Care commitments for employees across Northern India and Bangladesh.
People Leadership
Lead, coach and develop security personnel and site security teams.
Who We Are Looking For
The applicant must have right to work in India and should be able to travel to Bangladesh as per requirements
8-10 years of relevant experience including at least 6 years in Security, Risk Management or Business Continuity.
Graduate in Engineering/ Mathematics/ Physics/ IT / Law/ Security Management or related discipline. Professional certifications preferred, but not mandatory
Good understanding of:
Risk management principles and the application of critical controls.
Logistics and integrated supply chain operations, including e-commerce fulfillment and distribution environments.
Stakeholder engagement and the ability to effectively influence decision-making across multiple levels of the organization.
Ability to articulate and position Security and Business Resilience as a value proposition that supports business growth, commercial ambitions, operational excellence and customer confidence.
Commercial awareness with the ability to balance risk management requirements with business objectives and strategic priorities.
Strong collaboration, communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders, customers and external stakeholders.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, AI prompting tools and data analysis techniques.
Fluency in English and preference for Bengali language skills, spoken and written.
