Description

Responsibilites: 

Support faculty in-class: 

  • Critiques for project reviews; Field trips / support & attendance : Museum trips or other Site Visits in NYC

  • Showcasing / presenting own projects such as biomaterials, natural dyes or final projects in Sustainable Systems 

  • Aiding faculty with Biomaterial / Natural dye & pigment demos 

  • Support with design of course materials / files: presentations, videos, etc

  • Assembling course materials as requested by faculty.

Support of the department/program as a whole: 

  • Working directly with SuSy Facilitator in designing Earth Futures Symposium posters and promotional materials

  • Support of ongoing maintenance of Biomaterial close

  • Ongoing development of Biomaterial Samples Library (located in the Biomaterials closet) swatches, recipe card research and supportive materials for the trolley

  • Ongoing graphic design of needed signage for Biomaterial Closet and other faculty supports throughout the semester 

  • Support of online Course Crawl & physical Course Crawl 

  • Support of Week 8 - Governor’s Island, physical field trips.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Excellent communication and listening skills

  • Leadership experience

  • Strong research and methodological knowledge and skills

Work Mode:  On Campus #LI-DNI

Hourly Rate: $25.13 per hour, 7 hours max per week.

Responsibilities:

This role supports faculty with classroom instruction, project critiques, demonstrations, field trips, and course material preparation. It also assists with departmental initiatives by creating promotional materials, maintaining biomaterial resources and the Biomaterial Samples Library, and providing ongoing support for faculty and program activities throughout the semester.
