We are seeking a talented individual to join our Asset Class team in our Investments Business at Mercer, a Marsh business. This role will be based in St. Louis and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
As an Investment Analyst/Asset Class Support, you will support Mercer’s hedge fund efforts by working closely with senior analysts and portfolio managers to collect investment manager data, produce reporting, and help deliver client-ready materials. We will count on you to:
- Support manager researchers by gathering information and data for analysis and ongoing maintenance
- Collect and enter monthly alternative investment manager data into internal databases and systems, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and quality
- Support the asset class team in meeting client needs, including analytics, strategic research, and related deliverables
- Thrive in an environment that embraces AI and technology-enabled tools
- Assist with the development and maintenance of marketing materials, client presentations, and RFPs
- Produce monthly and quarterly client and team reporting deliverables using external software, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Provide ad hoc support to consultants in preparing for internal and external research meetings
- Assist in preparing for direct client discussions on managers and strategies
- Attend manager research meetings and external conferences in a support capacity to build technical knowledge and support career development
- Contribute to asset class- or strategy-specific research projects and intellectual capital
- Build asset class knowledge and expertise over time with support from senior members of your team.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 0-2 years of relevant experience, ideally in in banking, investment, accounting, or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
- Passion for or strong interest in investing
- Strong work ethic and desire to be a part of a team
- High attention to detail with the ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Working knowledge of the MS Office suite
