Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Heat & Frost Insulators for projects located in the Santa Maria, CA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $23-26/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to determine job scope, staffing needs, and timelines
- Assist with material delivery logistics and guide helpers with job site arrival and prep
- Fabricate, assemble, and apply insulation to piping, plumbing, heating, cooling, refrigeration systems, and pressure vessels
- Measure and cut insulation materials using hand and power tools
- Install vapor, fire, and smoke barriers to control heat, cold, sound, and fire transmission
- Apply waterproofing cement over insulation materials to finish surfaces
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to select appropriate materials
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heat & Frost Insulator or Mechanical Insulator
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in insulation cutting and installation
