FSY Interview Team Member (Seasonal)
We are seeking detail-oriented individuals to join our team as FSY Office Support Specialists. These roles will be focused on supporting the operations of For the Strength of Youth Conferences by assisting with the interviewing and hiring processes. This is a ¾-time, in-office position (up to 28 hours per week) primarily between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. All interview team members are assigned a shift schedule, which may rotate according to need. Employment dates may vary due to the seasonal nature of the program.
Note: This is a temporary 28 hour/week position starting 9/24/2026 and ending 4/02/2027.
What you’ll do in this position:
Candidate Screening & Interview Coordination
- Review and screen candidate resumes to identify qualified applicants.
- Conduct in-person and virtual (Zoom) interviews with professionalism and consistency.
- Complete detailed interview evaluation forms to support hiring decisions.
- Welcome and assist interview candidates upon arrival to create a positive first impression.
Operations & Administration
- Maintain a dependable on-site presence, working 26–28 hours weekly to ensure coverage and continuity.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) effectively and quickly learn new systems and scheduling platforms.
- Handle all sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to special projects and office initiatives to improve hiring operations.
- Apply strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Leverage prior experience in interviewing and hiring to make informed candidate assessments.
- Adapt to changing priorities and processes while being receptive to feedback.
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Please note:
- Due to access to confidential candidate information, individuals who are hired for this temporary office-based position from September 24, 2026 – April 2, 2027, are not eligible to work in an FSY field staff position during the upcoming 2027 summer season.
- Tuesday is a mandatory working day from 12 pm – 5 pm.
- Interview Team Members are supervised by and report to a Hiring administrator.
- Work hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (5+ hours per day M-F, specific hours per day will vary based on coverage needs).
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
- Associates degree or 1 year of related work experience.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of work-related experience
- Previous work in an FSY leadership position or similar equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior experience conducting professional interviews both in-person as well as over Zoom.

Pay Grade: 47
Typical Starting Pay: $19.00 - $24.00
The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
