McGill Sustainability Park
POSITION SUMMARY:
CONTEXT
The McGill Sustainability Summit is a multi-day event that will take place in Fall 2026 at McGill. The Program Assistant will provide support for outreach, recruitment, and planning in preparation of the event, and help ensure a smooth delivery of programming during key events on November 2 and 3rd.

DUTIES
- Support the coordination of a large-scale community convening event, including outreach and recruitment, liaising with presenters/participants, organizing event logistics, and responding to (or redirecting) queries, as needed.
- Contribute to the development of program content for the event with the Academic Team
- Day-of event logistics. This includes setting up for the events, helping to direct participants/presenters during the event, and other event-related logistics.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Reliable, with strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to work independently, with limited supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust and rapport with colleagues, students, and faculty
- Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and groups at McGill an asset
- Experience with event planning an asset
- French language skills an asset
