Job Summary:
The Analyst Group Financial Reporting will support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and the Group’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting activities, helping to ensure the accuracy, completeness and timely delivery of financial information. You will collaborate closely with finance teams across the organization to collect, validate and analyze financial data and contribute to intercompany reporting, regulatory submissions and other Group reporting activities.
In addition, you will support internal business reorganizations and ad-hoc finance projects while contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting processes through data analytics, automation and emerging technologies. This role offers a dynamic, international environment with broad exposure across the organization and opportunities to further develop financial reporting, analytical and technology skills.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Apply business and analytical skills to various reporting activities and projects in group financial reporting and consolidation.
Tasks will include:
Support the preparation of the audited annual consolidated financial statements, produced in accordance with IFRS and stock exchange requirements
Support the group’s monthly financial closing and reporting activities by analyzing financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Collaborate with finance teams across entities to collect and validate financial information for consolidation
Involvement in activities like intercompany reporting, internal business reorganizations and financial support to the business
Develop and implement data validation checks and controls to minimize errors and discrepancies
Preparation of governmental and statistical reports/submissions
Undertake ad-hoc exercises and analysis as requested by senior finance management
Core Competencies and requirements
Education
Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
CPA or relevant professional certification (including those in progress) is a plus
Work Experience
3+ years of work experience in accounting, reporting and finance. Having worked in a large international business would be an advantage.
Technical / Language Skills
Basic knowledge of accounting and reporting standards, e.g. IFRS and Swiss GAAP (OR)
Experience in using financial software, ERP and reporting tools (e.g. SAP, HFM, or similar)
Working knowledge in data analytics and interpretation using statistical analysis and data visualization tools, primarily MS Excel, R and Power BI, SQL is a plus
Tech savvy, including interest in learning and developing automation, AI and analytical finance tools.
