Psychotherapist – Metabolic Health Clinic - Grand Rapids, Michigan
Corewell Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan is launching an innovative, multidisciplinary Metabolic Wellness Clinic designed to transform the care of patients living with obesity and related chronic health conditions. This new program brings together physicians, psychotherapists, pharmacists, dietitians, and health coaches/exercise physiologists to provide comprehensive, coordinated metabolic health services.
We are seeking an experienced Psychotherapist who is excited not only about providing exceptional patient care, but also about helping build a new clinical program. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and improve outcomes for a high-risk patient population.
Select Position Highlights and Expectations
- Full time, hybrid practice with a combination of in-person and virtual patient care.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy services.
- Evaluate psychosocial, behavioral, and emotional factors that may impact metabolic health outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop individualized care plans.
- Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and treatment discussions.
- Serve as a behavioral health consultant within the clinic.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical workflows, intake processes, and best practices.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the electronic medical record.
Qualifications
Required
- LMSW - State of Michigan
- Experience providing psychotherapy independently.
Preferred
- Experience in integrated behavioral health, health psychology, obesity management, lifestyle medicine, or chronic disease management.
