The Restaurant Cashier plays a vital role in creating a smooth, welcoming, and efficient experience for every guest at Live! Casino & Hotel. Your ability to process transactions accurately, greet guests with warmth, and maintain an organized front‑of‑house environment helps set the tone for exceptional service. By balancing speed, accuracy, and hospitality, you ensure that each guest interaction is handled with care and professionalism—supporting both seamless restaurant operations and the elevated service standards that define the Live! brand.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

• Responsible for operating cash register to cash out guests.
• Answering phone, greeting customers, and keeping track of seat availability in restaurants.
• Responsible for assisting with bussing and cleaning tables.
• Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.
• Work to ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to:
• Use cash register systems.
• Read and follow basic instructions.
• Use a telephone; hear and speak clearly.
• Knowledge of:
• Alcohol awareness.
• Sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food.
• Strong work ethic.

• Basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year of restaurant experience preferred.
• Willingness and ability to be flexible with work schedule. May require extended hours and work week from time to time.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency. 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to:
  • Stand and walk continually throughout a scheduled shift. 
  • Bend, stoop and reach. 
  • Carry trash bags weighing up to 25 lbs. 
• Use of stairs and elevators

Working Conditions:

• 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees.
• Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
• You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.

 

Please note that this is a union position, and individuals in this role may be required to pay applicable union dues and fees.
