Senior E-Commerce / App Developer (Contract)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior E-Commerce / App Developer to join our network of project-based consultants. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining e-commerce platforms and mobile applications while ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and user experience.
This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who can work independently, engage with stakeholders, and deliver high-quality solutions across various digital commerce and mobile application projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain e-commerce platforms and mobile applications.
- Build and integrate APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services.
- Develop responsive web and mobile solutions with a focus on user experience.
- Implement new features, enhancements, and platform optimisations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, performance, and integration issues.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
- Optimise application performance, security, and scalability.
- Participate in solution architecture discussions and technical planning.
- Maintain technical documentation and deployment processes.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Proven experience developing e-commerce platforms and digital commerce solutions.
- Experience building and supporting mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
- Strong understanding of API development and integrations.
- Experience with cloud-based environments and modern development practices.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and design principles.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Technical Skills

- React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue.js
- React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin
- Node.js, .NET, Java, or PHP
