Main Purposes
The Dimensional Control tech reports to the QA/QC Manager. The Dimensional Control tech will perform surveys of fabricated and erected components during the lifecycle of construction and loadout. The Dimensional Control Tech will create and distribute reports to the Project Team and Client detailing the results of each survey.
Essential Functions
- Operate effectively within a survey team with minimum supervision
- Perform duties within all aspects of Dimensional Control
- Prepare survey drawings and reports, using Auto-Cad, Excel, and Word
- Perform and check surveys of fabrication components, piping spools, and other construction components, as required
- Must be able to work out of mobile equipment such as manlifts and at various heights as necessary
- Direct/perform simple DC surveys and projects
- Liaise with Project Team, and client representatives, draft, and check project final reports

Job Requirements:
- Experienced with various forms of survey technology including Metrology, 3-D Calculation, and Drawing software
- Ability to execute most tasks including surveying, calculations, drawings, and related survey reports
- Competent in operating a Total-station
- Must be comfortable in written and oral communication skills and well organized
- Mid-level knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, and Word
Desirable Experience/Training
· High School diploma, GED or equivalent work related experience
Tools, Equipment, and Technology:
- Office computers, copy machines and phones
Environmental Conditions
80 to 90% of the work activities are performed indoors. Individuals may be required to visit the yard in the hot, cold wet, dry, dust and paint environments.
