Senior Staff Nurse – Oncology/Haematology

Location: The Wellington Hospital, St John's Wood, London

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Competitive dependent on experience plus excellent benefits

The Oncology/Haematology service at The Wellington Hospital cares for patients with a diverse range of cancer diagnoses, including breast, pancreatic, prostate and specialist neuroendocrine cancers. You'll join a committed and experienced team that values collaboration, recognition and continuous learning, creating an environment where nurses are supported to develop and thrive. What you'll do

  • Deliver expert nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other cancer treatments.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate personalised care for oncology and haematology patients.
  • Act as a clinical role model, supporting and guiding colleagues while contributing to a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to coordinate seamless patient care.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and experience.

What we're looking for

  • NMC Registered Nurse.
  • Post-registration experience within oncology, haematology or cancer services.
  • SACT trained and competent in the administration of chemotherapy.
  • Evidence of leadership experience, such as supporting junior colleagues, mentoring, link nurse responsibilities or leading on service improvements.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of systemic anti-cancer therapies and their associated side effects.
