Ensuring tax reporting, driving tax technology (incl. AI), and supporting HR in tax-relevant matters.
This role sits within Corporate Taxes, which is responsible for all German and foreign income taxes and indirect taxes. This position is based in our HQ in Mettlach.
Tax Reporting & Tax Technology
Calculate taxes for all foreign entities (approx. 80 entities) during hard close and year-end closing
Prepare notes to the consolidated financial statements
Perform true-ups (comparison between tax filings and year-end closing figures)
Act as first point of contact for software providers (e.g., AMANA GTC – the group's Tax Balance Sheet and Tax Reporting tool ) to resolve technical issues and request system updates to ensure compliance with current tax legislation
Ensure external system access is functioning, coordinating with external IT support (Rödl) to guarantee smooth reporting processes
Maintain and improve LucaNet TCR on an ongoing basis (mapping, master data, process enhancements)
Evaluate and review technology opportunities for tax, including AI applications — in line with the annual IT review process, where the appropriateness of tax-relevant IT applications is assessed
Coordinate with auditors and internal stakeholders, including Group Reporting and the Shared Service Center Accounting (SSCA)
Corporate Tasks
Handle ad hoc requests
Participate in national and international tax-related projects, in coordination with the Global Tax Advisor network where relevant
HR-Tax
Develop solutions for national and international tax cases in close collaboration with HR, Payroll, Compliance, Travel Management, and other departments — all of which are bound by the Organizational Guideline for Corporate Taxes & Customs
Provide ongoing support for expatriates and individuals with limited tax liability
Your Profile
Degree in Finance, Tax, or Tax Administration
Approx. 3 years of experience in a tax consultancy firm or corporate tax department
Fluent in German and English
Strong interest in tech-driven tax solutions
