Job Description & Summary

The Opportunity 

 

As a Managed Services Revenue Cycle Manager, you will lead physician revenue cycle operations and client service delivery within our Advisory practice. You will focus on optimizing performance across revenue cycle functions, managing blended delivery teams, and implementing process improvement, automation, and technology solutions that enhance service quality and client outcomes. 

 

As a Manager, you will supervise, develop, and coach teams, lead client workstreams, and build meaningful relationships with client stakeholders. You will apply business knowledge, analytical thinking, and operational leadership to solve complex issues, improve performance, and support delivery against client expectations and service commitments. 

 

In this role, you will drive continuous improvement across physician revenue cycle operations, using performance data, root-cause analysis, and technology-enabled solutions to strengthen operational results and support the growth of our managed services offerings. 

 

Responsibilities 

 

- Leading physician revenue cycle operations across billing, collections, insurance AR follow-up, denial and appeal management, underpayment pursuit, payer escalation, cash posting and reconciliation, credit resolution, and financial clearance 

- Managing physician revenue cycle teams across blended onshore and offshore delivery models within IDN and multi-specialty environments 

- Driving performance against aging/DAR, cash collection, denial, write-off, self-pay, and other key operational metrics through inventory health management and targeted improvement initiatives 

- Leading root-cause analysis of denials, rejections, and claim edits, implementing corrective actions and preventive mid-cycle fixes that reduce billing defects and aged accounts receivable 

- Implementing physician revenue cycle operating standards, workflows, playbooks, and process improvements across client engagements 

- Managing weekly operational reporting and monthly executive performance reviews, providing a consistent performance story across client stakeholders 

- Partnering with Access, Coding, Technology, Client Delivery, and other functional leaders to resolve cross-functional issues and escalate systemic revenue cycle concerns 

- Leading automation, workflow optimization, and digital transformation initiatives to improve scalability, efficiency, and service quality 

- Hiring, coaching, and performance-managing team leads across functions while aligning capacity and priorities across the operating unit 

- Confirming compliance with applicable industry standards, client requirements, and revenue cycle operating procedures 

 

What You Must Have 

 

- At least a Bachelor's degree 

- At least 5 years of progressive Revenue Cycle Management experience 

 

What Sets You Apart 

 

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Business Administration/Management, Engineering 

- Demonstrating substantial physician revenue cycle leadership experience within IDN and multi-specialty operations 

- Applying working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, modifiers, clearinghouse/EDI processes, professional billing reimbursement, and HIPAA requirements 

- Managing insurance AR follow-up, denial and appeal resolution, underpayment recovery, payer escalation, cash reconciliation, and credit balances 

- Leading blended onshore and offshore physician billing teams of 50–100+ associates 

- Driving measurable improvements in aging/DAR, cash, denial, write-off, and other revenue cycle KPIs 

- Utilizing automation frameworks, workflow optimization, and digital transformation to improve operational performance 

- Working with Epic in physician revenue cycle or professional billing environments

The salary range for this position is: $99,000 - $232,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
