Somatologist, Melrose Arch, Johannesburg – REF# IMR056-ES

A specialist aesthetic and plastic surgery practice in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg is seeking to recruit an experienced and patient-focused Somatologist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in advanced skin treatments and procedures, excellent patient-care skills, and the ability to work confidently within a specialist practice environment.

Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Perform professional skin consultations and assessments
• Provide a range of advanced skin treatments and procedures
• Perform facials, chemical peels, microneedling, and CO laser treatments
• Recommend appropriate treatments and skincare solutions based on individual patient needs
• Educate patients on treatment procedures, aftercare, and skincare routines
• Maintain accurate patient treatment records and documentation
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, patient safety, and professionalism
• Build positive and professional relationships with patients
• Work collaboratively with the specialist practice team to ensure an excellent patient experience
• Assist with general treatment room administration and day-to-day operational requirements

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification as a Somatologist / Beauty Therapist
• Ideally 3–5+ years' experience as a Somatologist or Therapist
• Experience performing a wide range of skin treatments and procedures
• Practical experience with facials, chemical peels, microneedling, and CO laser treatments
• Experience conducting professional skin assessments
• Experience within an aesthetic, dermatology, or specialist practice environment advantageous

Work Hours:

Monday to Friday, The practice operates from 07h00–19h00. - The two Somatologists will work alternating early and late shifts, with both on duty during the main part of the day

Two weekends per month:

• Saturday: 09h00 – 14h00
• Sunday: 10h00 – 12h00
