General Summary:

The IT Systems Administrator keeps LifeCare Health Partners' network, computer systems, and end-user technology running efficiently across all sites — troubleshooting issues, testing and implementing cost effective solutions, and configuring and maintaining systems for reliable daily operation. 

This role also serves as one of the Agency's points of coordination with the MSP: submitting and tracking support requests, ensuring timely resolution, and keeping site managers and staff informed of status. Urgent or time-sensitive issues that fall outside the MSP's standard process, or that need a faster response than the MSP’s turnaround allows, are handled directly by this position.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as one of the Agency's liaisons to the MSP — submitting, tracking, and following up on support
  • tickets to ensure timely resolution, and escalating requests that stall or miss expectations.
  • Handle urgent or time-critical IT issues internally when they cannot wait on the MSP’s standard
  • response process, resolving them directly or coordinating an immediate fix.
  • Coordinate with site managers and end users to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technology
  • issues.
  • Travel to Agency sites as needed (up to one week per month) to perform network and copier checks
  • and confirm each site has the technology resources it needs.
  • Perform regular system audits to verify IT systems are operating at peak efficiency.
  • Develop and document IT procedures and train the MSP on these processes so support stays
  • consistent across the Agency.
  • Assist with the technology aspects of site moves, setups, and shutdowns.
  • Manage the Agency's RingCentral phone system, including periodic audits to confirm the MSP has
  • assigned the correct phone numbers to the correct sites.
  • Prepare and maintain system and inventory reporting for IT leadership.

Requirements

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer systems and administration.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with, or able to quickly learn, the systems and software used by the Agency.
  • Comfortable managing a third-party vendor relationship and holding a managed services provider accountable to service expectations.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field required; equivalent experience will be considered. 
  • Three to five years of information systems experience preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
  • RingCentral or similar VoIP platforms
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
  • LAN/WAN networking
  • Mobile Device Manager

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, standing, and walking are required.
  • Ability to always handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions, to meet deadlines and Agency needs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20–30 pounds at times.

Environmental/Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Travel required (up to one week per month).

Machinery/Tools/Equipment/Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation and auto liability insurance.
  • Computer and basic office equipment.
