Job Description
As a Security Officer - Patrol Operations in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol commercial real estate and healthcare locations, helping to maintain a secure environment for tenants, visitors, patients, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. - Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, patients, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical-related calls, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property, office areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and daily activity records in accordance with site procedures.
- Observe and report potential hazards, facility issues, and unusual activity to appropriate personnel while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
