At Bupa, our purpose is to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives. As a Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of complex, business-critical initiatives across our Data Programme.
Working within UK Insurance Transformation, you will lead projects and workstreams spanning cloud migration, data governance, AI enablement, customer data, analytics and strategic tooling. You will partner with business and technology leaders to deliver high-quality data solutions that improve decision-making, strengthen governance and support regulatory compliance.
This role is ideally suited to a delivery professional who combines strong project and programme leadership experience with a solid understanding of modern data environments, governance frameworks and analytics ecosystems.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
- Lead delivery across multiple data-focused workstreams within the wider transformation programme.
- Build and maintain integrated delivery plans, RAID logs, dependency management and governance reporting.
- Prepare executive-level reporting, including Steering Committee (SteerCo) packs and programme updates.
- Collaborate with data, architecture, engineering, analytics and business teams to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Support delivery of capabilities relating to data quality, master data management and enterprise data governance.
- Ensure delivery activities align with regulatory requirements, risk management frameworks, audit requirements and information lifecycle management principles.
- Work with Data Owners and Data Stewards to promote accountability and effective governance practices.
- Drive effective stakeholder engagement across business and technology functions.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and escalation activities within a complex transformation environment.
- Promote continuous improvement and delivery excellence across the programme.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- 3-5 years' experience in delivery, project or programme management
- Strong experience delivering complex business and technology change initiatives.
- Background in data and analytics programmes is essential.
- Proven experience managing RAID processes, governance forums and executive stakeholder reporting.
- Experience producing Steering Committee (SteerCo) materials and presenting delivery status to senior stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across business and technical teams.
- Experience operating within regulated environments and managing delivery risks and controls.
- Strong understanding of standard Delivery Lead competencies including planning, governance, reporting and risk management.
What you’ll bring
- Experience working alongside data engineering, analytics and architecture teams.
- Understanding of modern cloud-based data ecosystems.
- Awareness of Microsoft Cloud technologies, including Azure data services.
- Experience or exposure to Snowflake is highly desirable.
- Understanding of data governance tooling and reporting environments would be advantageous.
- Strong delivery leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Commercial awareness balanced with a strong focus on data quality and governance.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to lead through influence.
