Description
The post is currently being advertised for permanent recruitment, which is why the interim appointment is intended to be on a short-term basis. The contract is expected to run until January 2027, with the potential for an extension through to the end of March 2027.
This is a hybrid working role, and candidates will be expected to attend the office as required to meet service and business needs.
About the Role: Gloucestershire County Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader from the school system, to lead our school improvement team.
About You: In this role you will be responsible for leading our local school improvement strategy and leading, managing and empowering a team of experienced performance advisers to identify and support LA maintained schools to deliver high quality education for the children of Gloucestershire.
The post holder will work closely with Education Psychology; Advisory Teaching and Inclusion services to ensure a joined up and collaborative approach to supporting and challenging school performance.
