The Opportunity
Join HP's Corporate Strategy and HP Solutions Strategy teams and help shape the future direction of HP. This high-impact, high-visibility role supports critical strategic priorities across the company, partnering with senior leaders to address complex business challenges, identify growth opportunities, evaluate strategic investments, and influence enterprise decision-making. Based on business priorities, assignments may span Corporate Strategy, HP Solutions Strategy, strategic planning, portfolio strategy, growth initiatives, business transformation, and executive-level special projects.

In this role, you will work closely with executive leaders, business units, finance, product, category, and cross-functional teams to develop insight-driven recommendations grounded in rigorous analysis and compelling strategic narratives. The work combines strategic problem solving, business planning, financial analysis, market assessment, and executive communications in support of HP's highest-priority initiatives.

About the Team
The Corporate Strategy and HP Solutions Strategy teams serve as trusted advisors to HP's senior leadership, helping define long-term direction, evaluate growth opportunities, and inform critical business decisions. The teams partner across HP's businesses to identify growth opportunities, address strategic challenges, and drive enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen HP's competitive position and long-term value creation.
Team members gain broad exposure across HP's businesses, products, markets, and executive leadership while working on some of the company's most strategic and visible initiatives. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-paced, and intellectually rigorous, offering unique opportunities to influence decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support strategic initiatives across Corporate Strategy, HP Solutions Strategy, and enterprise-wide priorities, delivering insights and recommendations that influence long-term growth, portfolio decisions, and business performance.
- Conduct market, competitive, customer, technology, and financial analyses to identify opportunities, risks, and strategic implications.
- Develop structured problem-solving approaches and translate complex business challenges into actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate emerging industry trends, competitive dynamics, customer needs, and technology shifts to inform strategic decision-making.
- Build business cases, financial models, investment analyses, and scenario plans to support strategic initiatives and resource allocation decisions.
- Support annual planning, long-range planning, growth strategy, and business transformation efforts across HP.
- Partner with executives, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and align strategic priorities.
- Develop executive-ready presentations, communications, and storylines for leadership reviews, board discussions, and key decision-making forums.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives by managing workstreams, influencing stakeholders, and delivering meaningful business outcomes.
- Support strategic partnerships, new business opportunities, portfolio evaluations, and other special projects as business needs evolve.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and help drive execution against business objectives.
- Contribute to a high-performing strategy culture by mentoring team members, sharing best practices, and fostering collaboration.
Knowledge and Skills
- Exceptional analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to frame ambiguous business challenges, synthesize complex information, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Strong business acumen with experience assessing markets, competitive dynamics, customer opportunities, and business performance.
- Experience developing strategic recommendations supported by quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Financial modeling, business case development, investment evaluation, and scenario planning experience.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create concise, compelling, executive-level presentations.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions and organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Curiosity, learning agility, and a passion for solving complex business problems.
- Ability to connect market, customer, technology, and financial insights to strategic business choices.
- High degree of ownership, judgment, accountability, and results orientation.
Education and Experience
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Typically 8-12+ years of experience in corporate strategy, business strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, corporate development, product strategy, finance, business operations, or related fields.
- Experience developing strategic recommendations, business cases, operating plans, and executive communications for senior leaders.
- Experience working in technology, hardware, software, services, AI, digital businesses, or adjacent industries preferred.
- Experience in top-tier consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, product management, or other analytically rigorous environments is highly desirable.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
- MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
Salary
The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
