Summary of Job Duties:

The Registered Nurse (RN) Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality instruction, curriculum development, student mentoring, and clinical supervision within the Associate Degree Nursing Program at UA Rich Mountain.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Teach classroom, laboratory, simulation, hybrid, and online nursing courses.
· Develop syllabi, assessments, and instructional materials.
· Evaluate student learning and clinical competencies.
· Supervise students in clinical settings.
· Participate in curriculum development and accreditation activities.
· Provide academic advising and mentoring.
· Serve on committees and support college initiatives.
· Maintain current licensure and professional development.
· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

· Current unrestricted Arkansas RN license.

· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

· Three years of recent clinical nursing experience.

· Eligibility to teach under Arkansas State Board of Nursing requirements.

· Strong communication and technology skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Master of Science in Nursing.

· Previous ADN or BSN teaching experience.

· Simulation and curriculum development experience.

· Rural healthcare experience.

· Nursing specialty certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Knowledge of nursing practice and education principles.

· Ability to teach and evaluate nursing students.

· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Commitment to student success and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical environments and demonstrate nursing procedures as needed.
