Job Description

As a Security Officer - Corporate Building in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas to help support controlled access and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Document incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
