Responsibilities
HazTek is seeking an experienced EHS Safety Professional in West Point, PA to support a pharmaceutical construction project involving demolition and hazardous material remediation activities. This role requires a proactive safety leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily EHS oversight for demolition and hazardous material remediation activities
- Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and safety observations
- Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements
- Set up, calibrate, and interpret gas monitoring equipment
- Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and promote a strong safety culture
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and incident investigations
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
Qualifications
- OSHA 30 required, 510 highly preferred
- Experience supporting demolition and lead remediation projects
- Ability to set up and read gas monitoring equipment
- Current HAZMAT physical required
- Strong communication and hazard recognition skills
- Experience in pharmaceutical or industrial construction environments preferred
