Department Overview

The Exacom Logging Recorder team is responsible for Motorola Solutions’ cloud-native logging platforms, real-time voice and radio recording engines, and AI-assisted analytics software leveraged in public safety, defense, and critical infrastructure applications worldwide.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Back End Software Engineer to design and develop scalable, high-performance services that power our enterprise multimedia solutions. The ideal candidate has experience building distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native services with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop distributed backend services using C# and .NET

• Build secure, scalable REST APIs

• Design data models and optimize database performance

• Integrate with third-party APIs and enterprise systems

• Develop cloud-native services and infrastructure

• Participate in architectural design and technical planning

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure software quality

• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions

Basic Requirements

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; equivalent experience considered

• Strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET Core/.NET)

• Experience designing distributed, highly available systems

• Experience developing RESTful APIs

• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases

• Experience with Git workflows and Agile development

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

​Preferred:

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with multimedia processing, VoIP, SIP, RoIP, or audio/video systems
