Full-Time (Spring 2027 Placement)
Shifts: Monday–Friday, School Hours
Begin your teaching career with purpose at Boys Town! As a Student Teacher, you’ll gain hands-on classroom experience under the guidance of a certified mentor teacher. This opportunity allows you to apply your studies, build confidence, and make a real impact in the lives of students while preparing for your future as an educator.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Plan and deliver lessons alongside your mentor teacher
• Instruct students in whole-class, small-group, and individual settings
• Assess student learning and adapt instruction for diverse needs
• Reflect on teaching practices and participate in feedback sessions
• Support classroom management and a positive learning environment
Who We’re Looking For:
• Currently enrolled in a teacher education program required
• Completion of relevant coursework in pedagogy, child development, and curriculum design required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks. Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a general workstation set-up.
