Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise the FAT and configuration team;

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment; mentor team members to enhance technical and professional skills;

  • Project & Operational Excellence: Oversee FAT scheduling and resource allocation;

  • Implement Lean methodologies to optimize testing cycles (Lead Time); ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget;

  • Safety & Compliance (EHS): Enforce rigorous safety protocols within the laboratory environment, ensuring that all test equipment and activities comply with EHS standards to prevent workplace hazards;

  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership in P&C configuration, IED development, and industrial network troubleshooting; stay current with emerging automation technologies to drive internal capabilities;

  • KPI Management: Define and track key metrics (RDO fulfillment, Grid Test Utilization, delivery FAT on cost, quality and budget , test pass rates, rework costs, and resource planning and utilization) to provide actionable insights for process improvement;

  • Continuous Improvement: Establish feedback loops with Engineering and FAT teams to report test and design issues and implement permanent corrective actions in the FAT process;

  • Drive Innovation: Propose innovative solutions for our current process and drive the innovation culture throughout the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation & Control Engineering, or Computer Science;

  • Proven leadership experience in factory/laboratory testing environments;

  • Expertise in P&C systems and Substation Automation (SAGE, DS Agile, Ellipse, IEDs);

  • Proven experience (+5 years) in SAT and FAT execution using GEV Protection Products: UR, Micom, Reason Family products and 8 series;

  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies;

  • Excellent communication skills and data-driven decision-making abilities;

  • Fluent Portuguese, Advanced English, and Advanced Spanish;

  • Availability for occasional travel.
