The role- Ice Cream Product Designer
The role will focus on New Product Development (NPD), process innovation, technology transfer, and value engineering initiatives for the Indian market. Key responsibilities include designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, generating insights, and developing robust product and process solutions. The individual will lead the design and execution of laboratory, pilot plant, and factory-scale experiments to develop innovative, high-quality ice cream products and manufacturing solutions that deliver consumer delight and business growth.

What you’ll be responsible for:
• Develop and execute product and process development projects from concept through commercialization.
• Design, plan, and conduct laboratory, pilot plant, and factory trials to support innovation and renovation programs.
• Analyze experimental data, generate technical insights, and translate findings into robust product and process solutions.
• Drive technology transfer and scale-up activities from laboratory and pilot plant to manufacturing, ensuring successful implementation and operational readiness.
• Identify and deliver value engineering opportunities to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and cost competitiveness.
• Apply expertise in food science, dairy technology, food engineering, chemistry, microbiology, and process technology to solve technical challenges and accelerate innovation.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Marketing, and external partners to deliver project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, and sustainability requirements throughout the product development lifecycle.

We're looking for
We are seeking a passionate and self-driven Product Development professional with a strong foundation in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in product and process development, experimental design, data analysis, and scale-up activities within the food or dairy industry.
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
• Strong scientific and technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience in New Product Development (NPD), process development, and technology transfer.
• Ability to design, execute, and interpret laboratory, pilot plant, and factory trials.
• Strong analytical, data interpretation, and technical reporting capabilities.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for delivering consumer-focused innovations.
• Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites, suppliers, and external partners as required

Experience & Education
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dairy Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
•3-4 years of experience in food or dairy R&D, product development, process development, and scale-up activities preferred.
